Cookies
Last updated 9 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use as few as we can: the ones the site needs to work, and Google Analytics only if you say yes.
Your choice
You haven't chosen yet.
You can change your mind at any time here, or with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
Cookies the site needs
These keep you logged in and protect forms from being misused. The site can't work without them, so they don't need your consent.
| Name | What it's for | How long |
|---|---|---|
sessionid | Keeps you logged in, and holds a deal you asked to save while you log in | 2 weeks, or until you log out |
csrftoken | Security: proves a form was sent from our site and not from another one | 1 year |
messages | Shows a one-off message such as "Deal saved" on the next page | Until you close the browser |
consent | Remembers whether you accepted analytics cookies | 6 months |
Your light or dark mode choice is stored in your browser's own storage, not in a cookie, and never sent to us.
Analytics cookies (only if you accept)
Google Analytics tells us how many people visit, how they find us and which pages they use, so we can improve the site. Google stores the data for us and doesn't use it to advertise to you. We don't load Google Analytics at all until you accept.
| Name | What it's for | How long |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells visits from the same browser apart | 2 years |
_ga_… | Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years |

When you buy or manage Pro, you go to Stripe's own pages, which set their own cookies for security and fraud prevention. See Stripe's cookie policy.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Your browser's settings let you see and delete cookies, and block them. If you block the cookies the site needs, you won't be able to log in. The ICO's guide to cookies explains more.
